Volunteer - La'Quita G.
It all started when...
By day La'Quita works as an Associate Director in Global HR at Merck and has been a volunteer with The One Less Foundation since 2013, she most recently led one of the MoneyWISE Financial Literacy & Capability programs for adults that ended in September. When she is not working/volunteering, she enjoys spending time with family, in addition to traveling, cooking, reading, being a wife, mom and achieving her goals.
When asked what her strongest belief about our mission or the program she volunteers with is, she said "I strongly believe in the Founder's mission to bridge the gap between those residing in poverty and the rest of society, through financial education and teaching about the opportunities that life has for each of us. It is a fact, "When you know better, you do better."”
Staff at The One Less Foundation said that La’Quita is a joy to work with and support in her volunteer efforts. She prepares for each class in the six-week MoneyWISE program with the needs of the students in mind.
